We have the option to display both the 'Edited by' and 'Author' details separately for each story. This can be configured directly from Page Builder.
To enable this feature on the front end, the “Guest Contributor” role must be enabled in the Bold instance ( This will be enabled by the Quintype support team; please reach out to <support@quintype.com>).
Once the “Guest Contributor" option is enabled in CMS: - You can add a “Guest Contributor" under the "Authors" section on the story page under the Manage Tab. - This role can be assigned to any user with either the Editor or Guest Contributor role.
Enabling Guest Author in Page Builder
Here’s how to enable the author option in Page Builder: Step-by-Step Guide:
Log in to Page Builder.
Navigate to Story Page Layout: - Click the 'Page' dropdown and select 'Story Page Layout'. - Choose 'Text Story' from the options.
Access Row Settings: -Click on the ‘Row Settings’ -Expand the 'Layout Settings' tab.
Enable Guest Author and Custom Label: - Under 'Author Style', enable the following options: - Guest Author Name: Displays the guest author on the front end. - Show Custom Label: Allows you to display 'Edited by' or any preferred label. - Guest Author Image: If you wish to show the editor's image alongside the name.
Once configured, click Save and Publish to apply the changes.
To display 'Edited by' or any other custom label for the guest author, follow these steps:
-Go to General Settings in page-builder. -Under the “Visuals” tab choose the 'Custom Labels' section. -Check the “Enable Custom Label” option. -From the dropdown, select “Buttons & Labels”. -Edit the label for the “Guest Author” field (e.g., change it to “Edited by”). -Once you’ve updated the label, click Save and Publish to reflect the changes on the front end.
