What are Global Story Elements?
Global Story Elements are design and layout settings that apply to all story elements across the website for a selected story template.

Story elements are the individual content blocks used within stories, such as:

  • Text
  • Summary
  • Block Quote
  • Big Fact
  • Image
  • Attachment
  • Embed
  • Table
  • Slideshow, and more

Instead of styling each element manually in every story, Global Story Elements allow you to control the design, layout, spacing, fonts, colors, and overall appearance from a single place.

In one line:
Global Story Elements let you manage the styling of all story components centrally for a specific template.

Why Use Global Story Elements?

  • Maintain consistent design across all stories
  • Save time by avoiding manual styling
  • Easily update design site-wide
  • Ensure better visual uniformity

Steps to Configure Global Story Elements

  1. Go to Page Builder
  2. Navigate to Page → Story Page
  3. Select the required Story Template
  4. Open the Global Story Elements tab
  5. View the list of available elements (Text, Image, Embed, etc.)
  6. Click on any element to edit its settings
  7. Update:
    • Layout
    • Spacing
    • Font size
    • Font color
    • Other design properties
  8. Click Save
  9. Publish the page

Result: Once published, the changes will be applied across all stories using that template.

Note:
These changes are applied globally for the selected template and will reflect site-wide wherever that template is used.
