Scheduled Stories in Collection Sorter

You can now view and rank stories that are scheduled to be published later - directly from the Collection Sorter.
This helps editors plan ahead and decide where a story should appear in a collection once it goes live.

What’s New
Earlier, only published stories were visible in the Collection Sorter.
With this update, you can now:

  • See scheduled stories (stories with a future publish time).
  • Rank or reorder them within your collections in advance.
  • Have them automatically appear in the same position once published.

How to Use It

  1. Go to Bold → Content→ Collections
  2. Select the collection you want to manage
  3. Toggle on the Show Scheduled Stories option.
  4. You’ll now see all your scheduled stories on the left-hand side.
  5. Drag and drop them to the right-hand side to set their rank in the collection.
  6. When the scheduled story is published, it will automatically appear in the same position you set.

Things to Know

  • Works for both manual and automated collections.
  • Automated collections: Only scheduled stories matching rules will appear.
  • Manual collections: All scheduled stories will appear regardless of rules.
  • If a scheduled story is cancelled, it will automatically disappear from the sorter.
  • Ranking will stay the same after the story is published.
  • Scheduled stories won’t show up in the Collection RSS feed until they’re live.

Example
Let’s say your team schedules stories at night to go live the next morning, you can now rank these scheduled stories in your Home Collection ahead of time.
Once they’re published, they’ll automatically appear in the positions you set - keeping your homepage updated even when no one’s online.
